Default Question

Warming the engine before leaving makes the engine last longer?
what does it do?
because i mean it would mean waking up earlier, but if it is good for my baby, damn im willing.

Default RE: Question

i used to get out there and have my cars warmed up for 5-10 minutes, then I read somewhere I'm wasting gas and polluting the environment just a tad more. I was then told a few minutes (2-3) is sufficient "warm" up time - meaning, the reason it's supposed to be good is that's the approx time all the fluids need to get to where their going and flowing properly. Still on a very cold winter day I'll start the car 5 min. in advance just because nobody likes going from a warm house to cold car.

warm up in cold weather maybe 5 minutes, warm weather, 2 minutes, just get oil flowing, startup is the worst part.
