That is absolutly hilarious.
My wife used to manage a Marathon gas station for like 5 years.

And I have been working in one for over two!

It's funny this story comes up:

I used to be friends with a guy who races (or raced, who knows what the hell he's doing now) go-karts. The fuel he was using at this particular race was called C12 (which is leaded, and 108 octane). He was getting some really high EGT's and actually melted a piston during one of his practice runs. His dad's best guess was that the fuel was bad. He had a little more than 4 gallons of it left, and nowhere to dispose of it.

At the time, I was driving a 1995 Ford Aerostar that had a 4.0L V6. That thing had a 21 gallon fuel tank, and I had 16 gallons of fuel in it. We dumped it in my van, he got fresh gas, and nothing happened until we left that next day.

I can honestly say I never felt much of a difference in how that van was running. But what I can say is that I am pretty sure I completely cooked and fried the cat, because the exhaust from that thing smelled like the track for about 3 weeks. LOL!
