Radiator replacement

My radiator is leaking at the seam between the plastic tank and the aluminum plate and needs to be replaced. I would like to know which radiator do you people recommend and from who should I buy it. And if there are any tips or things that I should know of before replacing it, thanks.

While it is still together flush the rest of the system. Replace thermostat with OEM at the same time. Atlantic British is one on line vendor. You also have option to pull one at a salvage yard and have tank flushed and checked out by an indy rad shop. Some indy shops might fix your tank as well, call around.

Do you happen to know what brand it is or where it was made. On their web site it is listed for $143.85 almost to good to be true. Most other places want around $300. I will definitely be calling them. Thank for the recommendation vandev.

Vandev, who is that girl in your pic? I just ruined a good pair of sweatpants when I saw it.

I did mine a couple times. Easy job. I have one from Atlantic British. Good quality unit. It is a Nissens which is a good aftermarket company. Be careful about buying too cheap on a radiator.
As far as tips, it is very easy. Here are some things from memory:
1. The Scrivits are a pain in the butt on the grill and air deflectors. Get something under them, then unscrew.
2. Might want to plan on doing the trans fluid and oil when you do this. You have to take off the cooler lines for both, and you will lose some.
3. Make sure the cooler lines snap back into place tight. They could feel like they are on, but then pop off and cause a mess if not clicked in.
4. Flush it with the old one on there before you replace.

Snafu I didn't know that the oil and transmission cooler lines have to be taken off. I thought they connected to a separate oil and transmission cooler. This is starting to look more labor involved than what I had originally thought. :(
