Radiator replacement issues
 

In trying to replace the radiator in my 99 Disco II, I have come across somewhat of a big problem, and I hope that maybe someone can help me out. My problem is that the part number on the radiator in my car does not match any part number for any model / year that I can find. I've thouroghly searched the internet, and the part number for a 99 Disco II radiator should be: PCC000650. The part number on the radiator in my car, however, is PCC107260. Anyone got any insight on this 'rogue' part? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

just another part number for the same thing.....foreign website, but you can see the original part numbers. Both you mentioned are listed for the same radiator....

Hi guys! I’ve made few browses already in this site since last month, but I didn’t actually join. But, since I’m having the same query regarding my new land rover discovery 4.0 series radiator, I took the chance to join. I was about to make a thread for this, but since this is already made, I no longer have to. I’m thinking the numbers were actually kind of a big problem. But, I guess it’s somewhat compatible, though I still want to gather more info on this. I just find it hard to search. Anyways, I’ll just keep in touch with this thread and hope that there would be more infos on my next visit.

Hello all, I hope someone still reads these post. I too need to replace my radiator in my 2000 disco2. My part number is PCC000650. I found a used 1997 Disco Sport radiator but it has a different part number. I called land Rover who said the part numbers are different but couldn't tell me if the 97 will actually work in the 2000. Does anyone know if this will work, putting the 97 radiator into a 2000? Thanks. I'll also post this in the MOD thread.

So, basically the only thing to look out for is secondary air vs non-sai. Some radiators work for both, basically there is an additional sensor in the lower left hand side of the radiator if looking at the engine bay. Some radiators just have a cap there if the sensor isn't used, some do not. I would check to see if you have SAI and to confirm the radiator has a port for an additional coolant sensor. If no SAI, make sure you have something to plug that hole!

Careful: I think he wants to use a D1 radiator in a D2. They are different and a new replacement is not that expensive. Overheating is an issue with these vehicles so it is not worth taking a chance.

I just replaced the radiator in my 2000 D2, and this is the radiator I used:


I do not have secondary air on mine, so I went with the version without the sensor hole. Fit perfectly and running fine for a couple weeks now.
