Rear spring retainer articulation

Have been thinking of unhooking the top of my rear spring retainer to gain more articulation! What's the general thought about this, pro's and con's. 3" rover tyme suspension lift, no rear sway bar, spring and shock conversion. I have seen the guides for sale so some people must be doing this, right?

I would suggest using a good spring cone and allow the bottom of the spring to move as necessary. You will need to modify the watts linkage if you want more articulation, RTE has the parts.

What about the front springs?
