Rear wiper blade.
Anyone else have problems with the Trico 14-D rear wiper blade? I couldn't get it to snap on for anything. I ended up matching the old blade up to it and dremeling the excess plastic off so it would snap on.
Next time I'll just order the factory blade. |
With DII wiper arms you can't buy the over-the-counter replacement blades (Front or Back), that's why many people do the DI wiper arm swap.

Actually Trico does make them aftermarket. I think the fronts are 24-11 and the back is 14-D. The fronts fit perfect, the back would fit perfect if it was shaped right where it snaps in. The excess plastic keeps it from snapping down all the way. If you shape it a little with the dremel it snaps right on. I'll try to post a pick. The fronts are spot on though. Not much cheaper than factory blades though. I heard the rubber in the Trico blades is better though.

Boy I used the word though a lot. Stupid small phone screen...

FWIW, the 14-D worked for me without any issues when I replaced mine last summer.
I finally switched to DI wiper arms in the front...worth every penny to make this change as I was able to do arms and new blades for only ~$10 more than the cost of replacing the D2 blades... |
where did you get those? neighbourhood friendly Autozone?
