Recap of fix oil leak

Ok so overall not to too bad to tear down, but still not fun with the sun beating down on you.
took me yup 2 days from heat exhaustion on my part.
replaced the coils and wires and new plugs
pain with sai I do have to say.

now for the crappy part they put the valve cover gaskets in with RTV silicone grrrrrrr.
took a loot to just clean them up.
Now the strange stuff.
lower intake manifold a pain to get free.
Once done the valley pan gasket looked ok.
the valley gaskets well the front came apart in 3 pieces and no RTV where the heads meet the block on the front and rear.
front just fell off.

think I found the oil leak lol.

plugs where all white carbon build up except the passengers rear one by the firewall. It was a brown carbon build up.

now for the good it runs much better and idles better too and I have a little bit more pickup.

i have to see if the oil drips come to a halt now.
and need to get the coolant to bleed better.

took me longer than I was hoping but this heat killed me :-(

thanks to everyone on the advise and tips

Keith

Oil will not leak out of that location if you have the PCV mod done, if no mod - that area will leak.

Valley is this is my next gasket job. I just did the valve covers and oil mileage increased from 550 mi to 800 mi /qt. Valve cover gaskets absolutely dry and clean now (after running 3,500 mi).

BTW, I did the PCV mod 2 years ago and it did close to nothing to the oil consumption.

Also, I had a small leak at the rear which disappeared "mysteriously", but I attribute it to the engine oil (I have used Castrol GTX High Mileage blend oil for a year now).

Well I am glade I did all that will get it washed again underneath and see if leaking like it was.
I have been finding one leak after another.
first was front seal did that new oil pump and the gaskets there.
that slowed a lot down.
next was a leaking hose on power steering.
less oil after that
so far on this one not sure lol
after this ?
oil pressure sensor ??
the o ring between the oil filter mount and the front housing ?
or the pugs for the oil cooler lines ??
only time will tell
