Remote key question

I just placed an order for a new key remote from KeyRemotes in the UK. When I disassembled my present unit to determine which KHz the remote is operating on, I found a label attached to the inside. Is this the key code for my vehicle.

Not for the "vehicle." That's your code for that one key.

Your remote Receiver inside your Disco 2 is labeled 315 or 433 mhz. It's above your headliner next to your sunroof motor.

There is a part on the circuit board, a Kyocera device with 315 KHz printed on it. My truck does don't have sunroofs, but I think I remember seeing a module mounted to the roof above the rear seats. That was probably it. Thanks Guys

Also, only some devices can code with the Alpha Numeric code on your sticker. Others require the tag that came with new keys which has 2 lengthy barcodes.

I was thinking this key might be a replacement due to the label having a 2005 date. My truck is a 2003

I have a Nanocom. The Nanocom uses a 6-character code for programming keys. I believe the code "3EC948" (as shown in the pic from the OP's first post) can be used to program this specific key to the vehicle.

More specific info on how the Nancocom uses this code can be found at 40th second on this video:

I recollect some other programming devices such as the Hawkeye uses a code which is a much longer string of characters & digits. There was an old post somewhere where someone created an Excel spreadsheet which helps conversion into these longer-string codes.
