Remote lock doesn't work!
 

I have a 2000 disco that the remote lock will not work on. The unlock on the key fob works, the lock and unlock on the dash works but when I try to lock it with the key fob it will not lock. It sounds like it wants to work and the alarm horn sounds when I hit the lock button but the door lock actuators do not move. Anyone have any ideas on my problem?

If the horn sounds when you try to lock the doors, you have a door open or a bad switch. That will need to be fixed first before going any further with the remote.

I feel stupid, I didn't know the doors had to be closed for the doors to lock. I have the doors open because I am putting an alarm on one of the discos so I have the door open while I am installing it and testing it. Closed the doors and they lock like it is supposed to. Thanks again!
