Rough Idle

I have a 96 Disco that has a very rough idle. I have all ready changed the fuel filter, spark plugs, wires & thrown in some fuel injector cleaner. The PCV hoses were colapsed so I plan on replacing them & the PCV Valve. How do you get the pcv valve out and do you have any other suggestions.

If the pcv system is collapsed then that would be the prime candidate for repair. Check the flame trap ventilator on the right side valve cover and see how blocked it is. If it looks like a mess then you need to replace it and all hoses that are "collapsed"

Thank you MadBilly I will give that a try first . Do you know where I could get a good repair manual for that engine? All I have is the Haynes manual and it dosen't cover my motor.

I got a guy in Australia to mail me a copy of his manual on disc. It has electric and everything else on a couple of discs. Not sure where to get one prolly ebay as madbilly said.

RE: Rough Idle

What do you mean by idling rough? As in low idle? Feels like stalling sometimes? Then its your ICV (idle control valve) Stepper Motor.
Mine is getting shipped in tommorow =).
