Default SeaFoam - is it bad for cats?

And by cats I mean Catalitic Converters... Reading the other posts about the Sea Foam treatment, I began to think that this might be a good thing to do on my Disco. However, sending all these deposits from your engine and through your cats seems like a bad thing for the cats. Has anyone had a problem with overheating thecat. converterswhen doing this, or plugging them up? What is the longest anyone has gone (mileage) after doing this treatement?

Thanks for any input - hopefully I am just being overly cautious.

Default RE: SeaFoam - is it bad for cats?

Modern chemical formulations are such that there is minimal risk to the integrity of the Catalytic Convertor if the product is used as intended. If they caused disintegration of the CC, the company would not be in business too long. The best advice is to use the product (if you are going the induction system route) only once the engine is at normal operation temp, so the released deposits from the intake passages, ports, and valves are not thrown onto a cold cat media.
