Default Short in dash when using blinker?

Never heard of this before: When I use my turn signals, the little light in the dach that shows a trailer flashes with the blinker... There is a split second of a delay between the moment the blinker light goes on and the trailer light goes on. Any ideas what that could be? This is on the 2001. Since I don't have that happening on the 2000, I figure it is something odd going on...

Cheers!

I'm not really, just thought it was odd and was wondering if it is common. And after all, if XD is right, the 2000 is the one that has the problem, cause the darn little trailer doesn't light up... :P

Thanks all!

The trailer indicator is supposed to flash once if the trailer circuit is fine. If it continues to flash as long as your turn signal is on it indicates a problem in the trailer wiring. Don't not worry about it has been suggested. There is a problem that could lead to other problems if not dealt with.

Just the opposite, it will continue to flash if the trailer lights are good and not flash if they are not good.
It is like a turn signal indicator for your trailer, it "self tests" everytime you use your turn signals when no trailer is hooked up.

Ah, that makes sense! My 2000 does not have the trailer wiring, so no flashing there... Cool!

So I read it wrong. Last time I towed my trailer my light would flash then go off even though all my lights work. I wonder if the LED turn signals screwed with the circuit
