Default tail light for Disco II

I was washing my Discovery yesterday, and noticed the tail light had about 1/2 inch of water in the back up part of the passenger light and moisture in the rest of it, and the plastic looked discolored, upon looking closer, i noticed a very thin crack on the red plastic... Just out of curosity, what should I expect to pay for a new one, and are there any decent online retailers that carry this item? I hope I am posting in the right section, if not please feel free to let me know.

Man I've got the same thing going on with mine as well. I just put some 2 part expoxy on the crack today. It looks rough right now but I'm going to sand it down and polish it. No way in hell am I buying a new light housing. I'd try to fix it before buying a new one.

Have you ever heard of Google? Its this new thing on the internet and its pretty cool.
Go to Google and then type in what you are looking for and it gives you a place or two to look.
Its kinda cool.

Touche' Spike555, I concur. Google not only has one or two places, it has hundreds. Discovery Scott, you should also try your local salvage yards for the taillight. Either get it sealed up or replaced because I've seen problems with electrical once it shorts out.

thanks for the suggestions (serious ones and the smart @$$ ones as well)... I ended up buying a great condition pair of tail lights on eBay for 56 bucks, and replaced the bad one soon as they arrived. I am glad I replaced it before it shorted anything out. When I replaced it, I noticed the reason for the discolored water was because the standing water in my old one was because the metal part of the electric board was rusting up. Anyways, problem solved, and I think I'll be selling the other good light on eBay within the next week, after I make sure there are no problems with my current one.

Both mine were like that, cracked with water in. Removed them, drained water and let it dry out, then sealed the cracks with epoxy and put them back on. If it cracks again I will just repeat the process.
