Shuttle valve replacement
 

Hi as Ive posted before I have the 3 Amigos plus the break light on. Ive been reading that I should replace the shuttle valve seals. Would it not be better to just replace the valves as well as the seals at the same time. My 03 Disco has 97k on it.

i don't have an answer for your question really. but i'd be in the mindset to not necessarily replace what doesn't need it. upon inspection if it looked bad, then i'd do it, otherwise just the seals most likely.

Read the sticky at the top of this section before you do anything, Then get the codes read. If the module is showing a fault, you do the valves, seals and new ground wire along with whatever faults are found, when done, do a full 2 quart DOT 4 brake flush.

I just re read the sticky and that makes perfect sense, I bled mine at the bleeders when I flushed the system. When I replace the seals I will bleed at the Mod...Thanks guys so much. I also have a post about the brake dash light being on even after flushing and changing pads and rotors.

No, when you are done rebuilding the module, rebleed at the wheels till you get clear fluid which normally will take about 2 quarts of DOT 4.

I can buy the Wabco shuttle valves for $80.00 shipped but no seals included just the bolts. I think the falcon kit is a little expensive and its not even the brand name. For valves and seals on Falcon its $140.00 shipped. Like I said I am going to buy a Wabco replacement on the valves for $80.00 shipped and if forced to buy the seals from falcon for $49.00 shipped. Anyone know of another place I can get the seals at? I think that $39.00 plus $10.00 for shipping is a rip off for 2 pieces of rubber.

That's what I did: buy the valves from one place and the seals from Falconworks because I could get the valves for wholesale cost where I used to work. I agree the seals by themselves are a little steep, but Falconworks is THE only place to get them as far as I know of.

Yes, the price is crazy, but replace the seals when you do the shuttle valves or they will just fail again.
