Default Side Effects of a bad MAFS

I have been having trouble with my Land Rover lately. Particularly with a stalling problem. Here's some facts: 2001 Disco SE7 75k miles, I've put 5k on it myself since i purchased last summer no problems at all until about a month ago. It occasionally stalls without reason. It does usually happen when coming to a stop. I've gone after a few things myself. I replaced the Crankshaft position sensor, cleaned throttle body and Idle Air thing. I replaced dirty air filter and yesterday took the MAF apart and accidently cleaned with Carb Cleaner I immediately followed by cleaning with the right cleaner. When I started it I let all the carb cleaner burn off and took it for a spin. It stalled immediately and the "SERVICE ENgine" light came on. So all that to say. You think a new MAF sensor would solve all my problems??? I don't want to hate this truck....

you could have damaged your map as you know now you have to use map cleaner not carb cleaner. Also you should never run it hot only clean it cold.

So "When I started it I let all the carb cleaner burn off and took it for a spin". you may have done it in.
Wait to see what some of the folks have to say.
