Sourcing a good water pump?
Getting ready to do an oil pump/timing chain replacement on my 02 disco (140k) and have decided to also replace the water pump. It's working fine but it was installed by a questionable shop and they didn't use OEM. I don't know what the hell they put in there, but I do know that when the pump goes out, I stop.
So my question is: Are any of the after market pumps reliable or do I need to buy OEM?
Thanks. Any opinions gladly accepted.

+ 1 for the Airtex ^. I've never had a problem with these pumps.
AB has these on sale for $129 most of the time.
Rover Water Pump (STC4378) Replacement Fits Discovery, Range Rover & Defender Vehicles
AVOID GMB Brand pumps..... total $$hit!

I bought mine here about a month ago: Rover Water Pump (STC4378) Replacement Fits Discovery, Range Rover & Defender Vehicles. It was on sale at the time for $129. See if you can beat them up on the price.
