SRS Light

Got it all fixed up... And it decided to throw its SRS light, oh joy. Initially the SRS light would only come on when the engine was running and would not do it when the key was in the "on" position only. But now when I put the key in just the "on" position without starting it, it will come on and extinguish like its supposed, but immediately re-illuminate.

I've tried the usual things like the connectors under the seat, but that didn't make a difference. Also tried a battery reset. Its a 2003 Disco, it will be on my signature shortly.

Have you tried cleaning the seat belt buckles?
There are sensors inside them that get dirty and can set off the light.

There are many reasons for the SRS to come on and at this point you need to find someone with a scanner that can read those codes.

I sprayed some WD-40 in the driver/passenger seat belt buckles and buckled them several times. That seemed to do the trick. Thanks for the advice!
