In Ecuador and most of South America, autos are rare. Even passenger buses are sticks. When My wife and I bought our Dodge, she felt more comfortable driving a stick and Dodges autos behind diesels are junk so I scored. She very much prefers driving her auto D2 DD though.

It's mostly in the US that the Discos were automatic. American drivers overall are quite lazy. Go to the UK and manual gearboxes predominate and not just in Land Rovers.
D1's were available here with the 5-speed from the start until MY97. DII's never.

Default Help me, I have a Discovery right hand drive

i have a discovery right hand drive 5 peed, 1995, ok, its old but, I love it.
Now, Im looking for a LHD steering box, if you can sell me one, I will be grateful, and of cause, I will pay, pal.
Im sure you must have guessed, Im in the UK.
