Default Steering Fluid Leak tracking - what am I looking at?

I've started hemorrhaging steering fluid. Having a hell of a time finding the leak.
Seems to be one of the lines running behind (between?) the rad(s). Rave just shows a length of line, but I can't figure out how to get to it.
And then... am I losing my mind? It really looks like the lines run to a radiator. These things don't have a steering line cooler do they??? What am I looking at?
Otherwise, just how do I get access to those lines?

Thanks as always!

Ah. Engine Oil cooler. I think I've misidentified my power steering pump...

that's the power steering pump, and the oil cooler. there's a long loop of power steering line running the width of the main radiator but underneath it; this acts as a fluid cooler. you might have a leak in that if it's rusted through, or perhaps at one of the connections.

Thanks mollusc, any idea how to get eyes on it? Removed all the plastic and the main fan, but still can't seem to get near. And tried from below under the shield...

i think i remember somebody saying that you could get to it if you remove the driver's side wheel and the inner parts of the wheel well. i don't know any more than that, sorry.

That's an aluminum cooler.

To remove it, you have to take the rad out. My leak was where the hose attached to the cooler. If you wiggle the hose where it mounts to the cooler it will crack the seam.

You need to be very careful when attaching and removing those hoses.

yes, that's an aluminium cooler. but it doesn't have anything to do with the power steering lines. try to avoid doing anything to it.

Default Bump

Just hoping to bump this one up.

Dies anyone know how to inspect the high pressure lines on the power steering?

i think that’s where the problem is, but don’t want to spend $200 on parts and god knows what on labour to find out it’s something else.
