Steering Issues

Issue...
The steering pulls to drivers side pretty good...While driving, if I were to position the steering wheel "straight" I would be in the center of the oncoming traffic in about 5 seconds.
I have had alignments done at BigO...the last shop I went to said they would not want to do it because of the SLS system.
Air pressure good, even had the wheels balanced.
Jacked the truck up to check for any play in the front suspension...shook the hell out of everything...all seemed tight.

I grabbed the steering column shaft (PIC BELOW) and gave it a wiggle.
Here was some play in the joints and even made some clunk clunk sounds when moving straight up and down (looks like some mini U joints starting to fail...joint hidden behind the heat shield in the photo)
Can anyone test theirs next time they are under the hood and see what kind of play there is?
I doubt this is the cause of the steering wheel pulling left.
I may be on my way the the dealership to have them do an alignment?
