still shutting off

So I have a 2001 land rover disco II.For quite some time she has been shutting down on me when I am at a stop while in drive, she will lurge forward than shuts down.I turn her back on she starts right up with no codes at all.Now if I put it in park or neutral just as she lurges forwards she wont shut down, while letting her warm up she will run forever.Could there be somthing wrong with the tranz, such as torq converter, or some kind of censor.

Thank you for looking!

Sounds like a problem with fuel/air mix, putting it into "N" slighly increases idle speed. If you have a vacuum leak this could be enough to overcome it. The IACV controls idle when throttle is closed and when vehicle speed is zero. You may wish to clean your IACV, and throttle body, be sure air filter is OK, check for vac leaks, and if all that is good and problem continues, consider cleaning the MAF with a cleaner made for the purpose when the truck is stone cold.

thanks for the reply, I think I found the prob, Today she over heated a little bit and I lost my heat.I checked for coolant and quite a bit was missing.Si I think its time to replace the head gasket. I have had her smoked out to test for vacume leakes, and a hell of a lot of new parts have been thrown at her, I mean a lot of parts!

First, yes low cooing is an issue but unrelated to the stalling problem.
You might want to call me so I can walk you thru what to do and check.
