Default Stupid question

Service engine light has come on. Code says misfire on cylinder 7. Now the stupid question. When looking at the engine, which cylinder would be #7. Any help would be appreciated. It's been a very long couple of days. Thinking it might just be a plug wire. Thanks

Correct sequence for North American. Number 1 is located on drivers side of engine. 1, 2 front and 7, 8 at firewall.

Hey, you need to be on the Pajero website to ask stupid questions, loads on there

................... "which cylinder would be #7"..................... the one that's misfiring

Seriously, if you have the time and kit do a compression test on all 8 cylinders just in case before you waste any dosh. You may well be right in the assumption it's an electrical leakage on a plug lead. Many on here know far more than me about the nuances of the Rover V8 engine and can help.
