Default Tailgate Check strap

Hi guys, new on here and looking for a bit of advice. I have a Discovery 2 (2002) and am looking to replace tailgate check strap as its badly rusted. Was just wondering if I'd need to remove entire door to do this? Any hints and tips will be appreciated. Thanks

No need to remove the whole door. C clip on the truck side and a few screws on the door side.

Reading this I was kind of curious why I don’t have one. Don’t even see screws to attach. Not cheap !
