the new stepper motor when in today. no change in problem though. I also changed the plugs to some of those copper champions, the rough idle is almost gone now.As for the high idle... as it idles high, it will change in rpms, mostly it will idle around 2k but will go to 1.5k or down to around 500 and if im really lucky, it stalls on me. Im thinking i got a bad stepper motor. Any ideas?

 

I swapped the tps and stepper motor with old parts from the prev owner. no change, still idles high at the same rpms as before. I also tried tinkering with the screw above the stepper motor. Only change is it takes a little longer to stall.I can here the solenoid clicking in the new stepper motor, so that appears to be working. I also noticed when in 4th and give it a little gas it shakes like crazy, and I lose a lot of power, this is only occasional, sometimes in 5th gear too. And after my plug swap Im still getting a misfire code, could this all be related?
