Test drive

I test drove a 1995 SE7 that I am planning to purchase. It has 150,000 km on the click. Two things that bothered me was a "clunk" noise coming from the driver's side when I make a left turn and secondly, the vehicle pulls to the right when I step on the brakes hands free on the steering wheel.
Any comments are appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

pulling right on the brakes you have to look at the pads, and the rotors, and the fluid delivery. pull the wheel, check the pads. and bleed the brakes. have it done before you buy. The clunk sound, sounds like more of a problem. ball joints, bushings, shocks, springs, steering gear box, and last but not least the output shaft joints. If you are not aware parts and repairs on the disco is not cheap. Those with the best experience get all the maintanence records. and check the vehicle out completely. If your instinct says stay away, follow it. A disco that has not been maintained is nothing but problems waiting to happen. I have a 96 disco with 130,000 miles. alittle more than yours. the only problems I have had are general minor problems. I have kept up the vehicle. I have had my rover for 10 years and still love the car. HOpe it helps. If it is not to be this time, and you want one, it will show up. follow your instincts. gotta love a rover. duboff

I have the same problem too! Just the clunk sound but only when I ease off the gas pedal. The vehicel has a very good record from land rover and only 1 owner but and scared to buy due to the clunk sound. everything else is perfect. what can that be?

So are you talking about a drive line clunk getting on and off the gas or a warn suspension bushing sort of noise?
