Default TF 2" lift and D1 coil seats

I've searched, but haven't found definitive answers. I'm planning on installing a TF MD 2" lift soon and have heard back and forth on whether to get D1 coil seats for the rear. I've decided to go ahead and get them because I don't want to take it apart twice, and even if it has a little rear rake I wouldn't mind it. My question is if it were to have rear rake would my ABS and brake lines be ok? This would essentially be a 2.75" lift in the rear IF the rear coils do actually give me a full 2". Thanks

You do not need to extend anything unless you lift over 3 inches.

Don't worry about your brake lines or ABS lines until you are over the 3" mark.

Click here to see a pictures of my '01 on a TF MD 2" kit w/ D1 perch plates. The perch plates are installed in both before and after pictures.

I am going to make one exception to the brake line replacement. If you run quick disconnects off road you will snap a brake line. For the sake of better brake pressure and saftey, I would recommend replacing all 6 rubber brake hoses because of their ages a swelling when stopping.

I won't be running disconnects. This is my daily driver and will only be used for occasional off road trips. I'm currently running 265/75/16 TW guard dogs which rub a little on stock suspension. I just want enough lift to clear and tuck those. Also, I've heard rumors that going with +2'' shocks may cause some brake line harm. Is this true? Lastly, are guys that are running +2'' shocks and +2'' bump stops essentially canceling out the extra articulation?

A little lift will correct that rub. How do you like those tires so far, I am running a set of their Senteniels and with this last snow, they are awesome. I have a number of friend with the Guard Dogs that can't quick talking about how good they are.
If you want a little more shock travel I would suggest the extended OME Sport Shock over the T.F. +2's. And yes there will be a little more travel that will effect your brake hoses.

I love the guard dogs. I got them barely used and already mounted for a pretty good deal. Took them in mud already and they were great. Also the road noise isn't bad at all, and this is my first mud tire. I hope they keep making them for a long time. So, for the shocks is it an absolute must to extend brake lines with +2" shocks? I hear back and forth. Most say go 2" if you don't want to mess with anything, but if I have to replace brake lines anyway then why not 3"? What can I do to just replace suspension components and safely clear and tuck these tires? Thanks

I only mentioned the need for hose replacement more for the saftey and better responding brakes.

Gotcha, that's something I will consider. I have a couple weeks until I order it.
