thinking of buying a DII for parts. Advice please

I'm considering buying a DII because it's got a couple of parts I want. It's an 03 with high miles. Not sure of the vin # but runs well enough with a CEL.

Being new to these. Are there certain parts that will make the purchase worth while. Shipping an engine and tranny would be pretty problematic I would imagine. And those are probably the biggest ticket items.
What are your thoughts.

Mainly I want the 03 bumper with fogs and brush guard. The rest I don't really care about.

If you can get it for under $1000, do it.

...and a place to store it. Some residential neighborhoods have ordinances against having a "donor" car parked on property. There might even be some town bylaws about this. However, if it is out of sight, then it is out of mind. So maybe you have a barn or garage large enough to store your donor disco (DD). I also suspect storing your DD at a local storage place will have a similar position. Just some things to think about.

it's worth it, to have one at a good price....a couple of parts/savings can cover the cost. and don't tinker with it. I bought one ,not running, as a donor/parts truck. got bored one day, started tinkering with it...........now it runs better than the one I already had :)
I'm still looking for a donor;) someday;)
