Time for new Brakes

Time for new Brakes
It's time for new brakes on my 2000 DS2 and I was wondering if anyone has used ceramic pads and what there experience was.
Additionally the truck has 73,000 miles on it so I presume this is not the first set of pads and I'm wondering if I should consider replacing the rotors. They are not grooved, gouged, or warped but they are rather crusty rusty on the ventilation edge, thoughts ?
Lastly what should I expect to pay for these parts and is there a quality source with reasonable prices, I'm doing the work myself.

RE: Time for new Brakes
On a related note:
Is there anything special about replacing the brakes on one of these guys? I've done brakes myself a number of time on 'simpler' vehicles (80's era Toyota's, 70's era Mopar and Ford, etc.). Is there anything unusual to take into consideration? I would think I could save myself a bit of cash doing it myself . . .

RE: Time for new Brakes
Since I went ahead and ordered pads today, I'll post this question:
What size are the bolts for the calipers? I actually have a limited socket set at the moment, and it would be nice to pick up the tools I need when I go in to get them. Will a c-clamp work fine with LR calipers to compress?

RE: Time for new Brakes
Ok I have the DS2 and changed all 4 rotors and pads(just over 2hrs). The DS2 is different then the DS1 in that the bearing seals do not get touched when removing the rotors so that saved a lot of time. The tough part was the Philips head screw that holds the rotors to the hub. Caliper bolts where 12mm, and the bolts for the caliper guides where 17mm on the front and 13 on the rear(if you are just changing pads you want need to remove the caliper guides)

RE: Time for new Brakes
. . . and thank you for the numbers. I think I may have everything I need to take care of it, except for jack stands. Considering that the local shop was going to charge me $200+ to do the front brakes, and I can get basic pads for about $50, I saved myself a ton of cash.
