Tire Recommendation

Tire Recommendation
Just purchased a 2003 Landy and she's in need of new tires. Here's what I do by way of driving and where I live, so folks can chime in and offer their two-cents worth on that perfect set of tires.
1. I live just north of Boston, and will tow the Rover behind our motorhome off and on for 6 months out of the year. Maybe put 3k miles just in towing alone. Also, we do get snow here in Boston, so a tire that is flexible for the New England Winters would be great. Have to young kids as well (not sure if that really matters).
2. I do not off-road and don't plan to. Maybe the occasional country gravel road in the hills of Vermont or someplace similiar, but that would be the extent of it.
3. The Landy will also be a commuter SUV to and from Boston, maybe 3 to 4 times a week. Also, grocery shopping and overall, daily use.
4. I'd like to keep my price point at about $190 a tire, mounted and balanced, but will creep up to the $210 dollar range if a strong enough case can be made for that one set of exceptional, all-around tire. Prefer to use local dealer vs. Tire-rack or other on-line dealer...but I'm willing to entertain thoughts on this topic.
5. I've used Nokian WRG2s year around for my other two vehicles for a good five years or so (gotten between 50k to 55k miles on each set for each car - Mini-cooper and Mitsubishi Outlander). So, I'm happy with them, but now that I have a Landy, not sure if the Nokians would still be a proper fit, given the driving condition criterias.
Really dig this site and am learning alot about how to take care of my '03 Disco II....69k miles and starting off now.
Thanks,
G. Bob

You didn't mention if your truck still has 18" wheels or has been changed to 16".
16's will be cheaper for tires.
I of course would suggest the Michelin LTX M/S series... around your price range, available locally, great in snow/ice, rain, sand, dirt, etc.
I'm coming through my third winter with them now and would definitely buy them again... after at least one more winter that is!

Treaddepot has Cooper Discoverer M+S in 255/55r18 for $146 and 255/70r18 for $131. They get good reviews and are fairly inexpensive.
