Torsion Bar Rubbing

1 Attachment(s)
Just recently put on the TerraFirma 2 inch lift and today noticied the torsion bar on the drivers side (left) has started rubbing. Not sure if the lift would have caused this and don't know where to go from here. I was thinking about loosening the 2 bolts holding the bar in place and trying to center the bar so that the rubbing would be alleviated but not sure if this is an actual fix or masking a bigger problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

First of all, it is a sway bar, second, you are in need of some new bushings most likely, to correct the rub.

Sorry....First of all, it's called an anti-roll/Torsion Bar in the RAVE....I've heard people called the drive shaft a prop/propeller shaft. I guess I'll call it whatever you do Mike. Thanks.

I know I'm a new member so if you can teach me the secret handshake I'd appreciate it.

Hand shake won't fix that problem but replacing all the bushings for the sway bar will fix it.

Not to bring this from the dead but does anyone know if replacing the bushing will fix this or not?

I crawled under the disco and I am not seeing how changing bushing will solve this issue as there is no clearance or dimension chages to the current bushing and swaybar.

Jack up the front end. Take a crow bar and start prying on the sway bar. See how much play is in it which means the bushings and/or both stabilizer bar links need replacement.
