Traction Control and locking diff questions

I was just curious if there was a way to remove the traction control on my 2000 Discovery 2. I have tried searching these forums but to no avail. In the owner's manual, it just tells me I have it but it doesn't tell me if I can disable it like any other car. I would like to turn it off for the winter for those times where I feel like doing some "spirited" driving. Also, which parts do I actually need to add an electronic central locking diff on my car?

Thanks in advance!

RE: Traction Control and locking diff questions

I think TC has to be disabled with a testbook capable scanner. Not sure why you would want to. You are just going to get stuck with open diffs and an open Tcase. I think Great Basin Rovers makes a solenoid kit and there is a write up on Discoweb.org on how to install. You are going to spend a lot of time and money on doing do-nuts in the Safeway parking lot...

RE: Traction Control and locking diff questions

To disable the traction control, you have to disable the ABS and the hill decent. If you are in an accident and hit someone and they determine it is because you disabled the ABS, you might as well start riding a bike again after all the law suits are done with you cause your insurance company canceled your coverage.
So how much fun can the little trip around the parking lot be???
