Default Transmission rebuild kit

Hey guys anyone know where to get a trans rebuild kit for a 00 disco? Looked at AB but didn't see any. My trans is starting to whine a lot more now and kinda want to be prepared if it does go out. I just recently changed the fluid and filter so I'm not sure how long that will last. I also put some Lucas trans conditioner in there to help out.

Rockauto sells the rebuild kits. You'd probably have to go through a ZF dealer if you find you need any hard parts. Or get used parts from a transmission with a big hole in it.

you can find ZF rebuilding kits on line, but this is not a two speed power glide tranny. Unless you have a lot of practice rebuilding electronic trans this is not the one to learn on.

So, when was the last time you serviced your tranny, diffs and t/case?
Might seriously want to do this and pay attention to all the fluid conditions especially the color and smell of the ATF.

To gauge difficulty of rebuild job, consider PM to Higgs Boson; if he does not have his hands in three of them on his bench he can tell you what to expect. As others have stated, not the ideal first time DIY project.

a likely problem would be a cracked or fracture high clutch plate, someone else had the same problem. it also happens to jags causing them to be real late shifting into OD.
