Turn signal works one way
On my D2, when I use the turn signal when turning left and return the steering wheel back to center, the turn signal turns off like it's supposed to.
When turning right though and returning the steering wheel back to center, it doesn't, and I have to manually use the turn signal arm to turn it off.
I've not taken it apart yet to look, but I'm guessing it's in the control switch assembly the arm goes into, or could it be something on the steering wheel column that's broke?

On my 1966 Mustang, this used to happen regularly. I don't know if it's the same, but the Mustang had a plastic ring under the steering wheel with tabs on it that would catch the switch on it's return. Those tabs would break off. The ring for the Mustang only costs about $4, so on the Land Rover, it's probably only about $50. That is if it even uses the same thing.
