Uneven Front Brake Pad Wear
#11
UPDATE: New calipers and pads installed on a set of turned DBA Gold rotors. The DBA's were on the truck when I bought it and when I did the brake the first time I installed the EBC rotors but the DBA's still looked to be plenty thick. I checked them and they were about 0.6" from the service limit so I kept them. I was able to find a shop that still turned rotors so I had them cut these for $15 each. Anyway, brakes feel great until I go for a panic stop. They don't seem to want to grab as hard as I would like. I checked out the rotor temps after driving it and the fronts come in at about 120 degrees, the right rear was at 176 and the left rear was at 240. Looks like I found another bad caliper. That's the one original still on the truck. The pads and rotor still look usable so I'll swap that out and see how it works out.
