Upgrading the radio and sound in my 03 Disco!

I recently began an upgrade of my sound system and will post a link to some pictures when it is done. My 03 Disco didn't come with the CD changer and the radio seems pretty old stuff, I gave up on cassettes years ago! I drive a lot and like a large variety of things to listen to and I guees I'm just a gadget guy.

First offI got a new head unit, an Alpine CDA9883, then proceeded with the following:

Alpine KCE-422i Full Speed Connection Cable for iPod
Alpine RUE-4202 Audio Remote Control
Alpine TUA-T500HD HD Radio Tuner Module
Alpine CHA-S634 6 Disk CD/MP3 changer
Alpine KCA-SC100 Sirius Satellite Radio Plug and Play Interface
Sirius auto tuner with antenna
Rockord Fosgate 10 inch woofer (I built a nice box and replaced one of the rear side bins with it.
Dual power amp (for the woofer) installed under front passenger seat where the factory CD changer would go.
Pro Fit MI600 miCradle iPhone Holder
PAC SWI-JACKAlpine Steering Wheel Radio Controls Interface (so I can still use the steering wheel buttons).

The other factory speakers seem good enough but may upgrade the door ones later, the front tweeters are pretty much the only ones that will fit in the front window posts that I am aware of.

I plan to mount the CD changer vertically just behind the center console as I rarely have 3 adults in the back seat,I just need to ensure that the rear seats can fold down when I need the cargo, otherwise I will put it under the driver's seat, I never liked the under the passenger seat option as it is less accessible to me.

While I've had the dash disassembled I took the time to hardwire in my Beltronics Pro-65 radar detector power cord and the wiring for my Tom Tom 510 GPS.

Now, if I can just remember the sequence for putting all the dash parts back on I'll be up and running!

RE: Upgrading the radio and sound in my 03 Disco!

Sounds awesome.

I'm up in the air on my 03's system as well. Seems we have similar issues.

I had no idea you could keep the steering wheel controls.

We're gonna need to see some pics. :)
