WARNING about the 3 amigo
I had the 3 amigo lights on for a few months, but I couldn't realy afford to get it fixed.
last saturday, as I was pulling to a parking space I turn the wheel and brake at the same time, ( doing about 10 mph ?!!..) the ABS went off, the brake pedal got very, very hard, the truck didn't slow down, I went over the small curb and hit the car that was parked on the other side. I had a complete brake faillure.
in a way I'm lucky it happen at snail pace and not coming down Mt Charleston........

RE: WARNING about the 3 amigo
I about put my 2000 disco II in a ditch two weeks ago with the same problem. When i hit the brakes they went stiff i pushed them with everything i had and they made a nasty grinding noise but it slowed me down enough to stay out of the ditch. It happened on ahard left turn. If you figure it out let me know. Glad you werent hurt.

RE: WARNING about the 3 amigo
but you know, something is not right, if the ABS is malfunctioning or not working at all it should NOT give you a brake failure. the brake should still be working 100%. only the ABS down.
I post this to the bike forum I participate a lot, and a guy who has an Avalanche had the exact same problem. ABS went off , brake pedal extrmely hard almost no brakes at all.
