Waterfall sound behind dashboard

Hi guys, I have a 2000 discovery with 125,000 milles, like 2 months ago I changed the antifreeze whitout problems, but 2 weeks ago I star to hear a sound like a waterfall behind the dash, the sound it is noticeable when I was driving and became more evident when made a turn.

Also the service engine soon light turn on 3 days ago and I don't have a scaner to see whats happen.

Anyone have an idea of what's going on there? What could be the cause of that noise?

Thanks for your help.

The waterfall noise means either your coolant is low, or there is air in the cooling system....or both. Check your coolant level and top off if necessary. Check the thread on "bleeding" the air out.

You can get your codes run at most auto parts store for free. Just get the codes and search for them here, if you cant' find them, start a thread and someone will be able to track them down for you.

Ah yes the waterfall sound. i know it well.... This happened to me once but it wasn't a cooling issue. For me it was the clogged sunroof drains.

Go get your codes read at the local parts store and get back to us with the 4 digit fault code numbers.
If you don't know how to bleed to coolant system, don't drive it or you'll toast your engine.
