What did you do with your DII today?

Bought another D2. 03 HSE7 with 136,000 miles. Oil pump failed 3 years ago when the previous owner was pulling off the interstate and he parked it immediately and it’s sat since. Owner is moving to Belize at the end of June so was a motivated seller. Outside is in great shape minus a gash in the door caused by a runaway Jeep. Interior is on the gross side due to a small leak in the rear sunroof that’s sat unattended for a while. Hopefully can get this one fixed up while my other D2’s engine is off getting rebuilt.

Successful junk yard trip today. CDL shifter off a 2004, 18” spare rim to match what’s on my disco and a few interior parts. Little over an hour drive though. The Row52 app is awesome with a quick vin look up online I knew the 04 came with a CDL.
App worked great. Disco wasn’t even in their computer but was in row app said it was.

Replaced Steering Pump
I replaced the steering pump, that was slowly getting weaker. I also flushed about 42 oz of fluid through the system. I still get a whining noise, the pump is running strong, but the whine is tied to engine speed. Any one have any thoughts around what it could be? Defective pump?
Also, replaced the rear pads and rotors with Power Stop upgraded kit from Rock auto. The pads are actually Pagid, interestingly. The rotors look good, they are coated and it looks like they should not rust. Gave everything a rust proofing, painted the calipers, carriers, etc. Cautiously optimistic. $125 shipped.
I still have the brake light on, I did not realize the sensor is only in the front. Which I did last year, so there must be something going on, frozen calibers, etc. Does anyone know how to confirm that? Any advice on replacement calipers?
