Ordered some RTE 3" springs for a badly needed refresh. Going to be a busy weekend prepping vehicle for Moab the following week. Will have the new springs, rear relocation cones, and spring retainer clips for all 4, plus massaging ARB bumper to accept the factor55 hawse fairlead and repair the rear bumper (not sure what my issue is but I dragged it off a ledge the other weekend it's got a nice sag on the driver side to it..)

1,500 mile road trip from Sunday through tonight.
Traffic sucked. Ugh. Rain. Fog. Half a dozen other drivers with their lights off at night. In the rain and fog. Madness.

13 mpg. Ran multiple tanks of 87, 89, and 93 octane. Each full tank was getting me 260 to 268 miles before the low fuel light would come on. No appreciable difference in mileage (obviously the computer wouldn't make big adjustments to Long Term fuel trim and such in that time).

My tires do have low air pressure and it's time to replace the spark plugs, so this mpg # will improve. Oh, and I need new tires this month.

The driver's seat is *really* comfortable. Kudos to LR.

The weird:
#1: My interior lights started working again. There was a thread on here where a Disco owner installed LEDs to replace the OEM bulbs in the overhead lights some time ago. I did that as soon as I read that thread because it sounded like a good idea but they never worked (months)... until some point Monday when I stopped for supper and opened the driver's door. Then they all came on and have worked properly through tonight!

#2: My alarm and door locks worked fine until today, when turning the key in the door-lock only made the horn beep briefly but refused to lock the other doors+rear hatch (just mechanically locked the driver's door lock). Center dash button still works to operate all locks.

What does the horn beep when locking mean?

Horn beep while locking with the remote means that a door is open. Sometimes the rear hatch doesn’t register as closed if the hinges are sagging.

Tires were between 25 lbs and 28 lbs. No wonder I just got 13 mpg!

Did ball joints yesterday. What a miserable use of Valentine's Day. I hate doing ball joints. I'd rather swap a trans any day. Did finally get them done though, on the passengers side. Driver's side is still ok, so not gonna fool with it for now.

Not completely related, but also got the second axle under my car trailer I'm building, and picked up the remainder of the steel I'm going to use for it. Graciously donated to me by a neighbor.

This is one job I will pay to have done, should my truck ever need it.
