I got the LS swap bellhousing installed and cleaned up the engine bay a bit. If the machine shop isn't done with my 5.3 block by Friday I'll call if quits and start building this fairly clean 4.8 block I just picked up. Just ordered most of what I need to finish either engine install.

I purchased off of eBay for Myrtle a new in box Smoke Monster ProFlex+ smoke machine.
I got it for a song at $100 (£76) + shipping as the kit is regularly $950+ (£700).

First ones up and over Yankee Hill last weekend after snow last week. Would have taken more photos/videos but if you watch the videos you can tell that being outside the vehicle was less than ideal haha still a fantastic day out.

Default Some preventative maintenance

Once I get these installed everything in the coolant system will have been replaced. A little peace of mind for awhile hopefully.

Yesterday changed the belt as the old one was like this

And changed the front (35mm) sway bar bushes as the old ones looked like this

For now I went with stock type rubber bushes, but am going to order the polys. Just need to dig out the correct part number for the rear bushes. 2003 td5 with ace and air to coil mod done in the rear.

The general feeling on the P38 forum I frequent is to only use the original rubber bushes, not the poly, though I haven’t tried poly bushes myself. Also Disco requirements might be different than Range Rover.

Poly bushes are noisier and don't last as long. Rubber is the way to go no matter the vehicle, unless it is going to become a regular service item that is replaced (relatively) often.

Default Installed full Magnaflow Exhaust & Changed Rear Shocks

I've wanted the Magnaflow exhaust system for the longest and finally got it all installed today (magnaflow cats were installed a month ago). It sounds great and gives it a little more pep (though not much...). I also installed rear shocks (ome turbos) today. I'm gonna upgrade the rest of the suspension system when the rest of the parts come in (ome heavy duty springs and turbo shocks).

I can't believe I didn't change the shocks sooner. The rears were completely shot and compress completely with no recoil at all.
