What year Discos have the CDL?

Is it just 04? Also, is it all 04 models? (i.e SE, SE7, HSE) Thanks.

04's - standard.
03's - nada.
02's - some equipped, some not. Not sure of range or dates
01's - equipped but without shifter
00's - equipped but without shifter
99's - equipped but without shifter
D1's - standard 94-99

94-99 D1's have it
99-may 02 D2's have the guts in the TC but need lever or 11mm wrench to click it on
04 D2's have it.

newdisco...you can just but the kit and it will work. Will still need a shifter assymby of of a D1 or a 04 model.

94 to 99...have it
99 to 01.5 have capability but need shifter
01.5 to 04 need a kit and shifter or pre 01.5 CDL swap
04 has it with shifter

After this weekend I'm convinced that having no CDL does not matter :)
Edit: provided your TC works.

I have to agree. my 02 dosn't have it and have not needed it, wifes 01 has it and have not needed it. Healthy TC is all you need.
