Whining Noise at Speed related to Throttle
Hey guys, my 02 is making a whining noise that is directly related to throttle pressure. As you gain speed you start to hear it and it grows louder and louder. It's just like a whining/whistling noise.
On the highway it is the loudest, but if you take your foot off the gas it goes away, but immediately returns once you press the pedal again.
Ideas?

I'd check axle fluid levels, or drain fluid into a clean drain pan and look for foreign material. Normally, when you have a vibration/noise under acceleration...it is a sloppy input or output shaft flange (being caused by worn bearings). Jack up the rear and try and move the input flange/pinion shaft up and down or side to side. There are a lot of moving parts in this drivetrain system, so you may have to look high and low for the issue.
