Who buys good shape Disco II for salvage?
I'm calling it quits on my Kent Green 2001 Discovery II with 103K miles and looking for suggestions on how to sell it.
Work done: Ball joints, head gaskets, water pump, timing chain, timing gears, fan clutch, new tires--engine runs great. Problem: After finally getting the leaks stopped, I discover the block is cracked. Unwilling to pay for long block--shop quoted $4K, but done with this journey. Thanks to all who have provided advice on previous posts. Appreciate any advice to get rid of it. Thanks |
If you are in so cal, I do.

I don't know of anyone down in FL, but up here in the Northeast, Paul Grant does.

Thanks for the info. Guess if price is right I would ship.

Shipping would cost about what the truck is worth.
There is a used Rover parts seller in the Miami area. I can't remember their name so you'll have to google them. |
4K seems rather $$$$ to me. Heck you should be able to find a wrecked D2 on CL with a good engine for cheap or get a complete 4.6L out of a RR/D2off of Ebay for around 1200.00 shipped.

Even if you're not up to it or have run out of enthusiasm I hope someone else buys it and puts a good used engine in it. I had to see otherwise nice trucks dismantled for wont of an engine or trans, etc.
