Changing the wires today and fatso thought he could just push off of anything to slide back off of the motor. So the question, is this a part I can make with stuff from the hardware store or do I have to order it?

Get yourself a metal replacement at Oreilly's or Auto Zone for $3.00. They're normally located on the Air Compressor isle or in the brass fitting adapter section.

I am way too dumb for that help. What size am I looking for? Am I replacing the entire black piece?
Unfortunately you have to explain it to me like I'm a 5 year old. (sorry)
DO you have a picture? :)

been there, done that! Except I broke BOTH. DON'T break the other one, it's $40 (the red brake servo).

The one you broke, get an air compressor fitting with the same threads. I found one after trial and error trying this and that. Get it done because it affects vacuum. Basically the air compressor fittings are in the Home Depot, Tractor Supply, etc. Just unscrew the nipple, take it in to match as closely as possible with a METAL one. $3 or $4 max.

Not sure the size, maybe 3/8. Bring your old piece in to match, Just unscrew it out.

This is what you need. The part with threads screws in, the black hose clamps on the smooth end. http://thumbs2.ebaystatic.com/d/l225...OcywZCHHLw.jpg

get the old one out and bring it with you. get the old one out, bring it with you. get the old one out, bring it with you. :-)

I thought about waiting until after I finish the wire install. Then I thought it would be nice to have something else there besides the $40 other fitting.:)
