Will 265/75/16 rub at stock height? Possible great deal.
 

I have an opportunity to get a great deal on a set of 5 barely-used Nitto Grapplers.

But they are 265/75/16, and I have no mods (stock height).

Will these rub? How badly?

How much would these tires affect the speedo/MPG?

The largest you can go on stock suspension is 245/75/16. 265s will rub. Keep in mind that your stock springs have settled so you're not even as high as when the truck left the factory.

anyone have any idea how bad they'll rub?

i will get likely get a 2" OME in the future, but it may be six months...wondering how bearable the rubbing would be.

they should clear the fenders when just driving, will likely rub if your suspension flexes a little, and will definitely rub on your control arms when you turn sharp

You can adjust your steering stops so they don't rub when you turn but you're limiting how sharp you can turn by doing that. My concern is if you flex the suspension at all they will rub. My 245s with the OME lift rub on the rear fender with I flex the suspension. A larger tire with no lift is going to take less flex to get it to rub.

It is not a matter of how badily they will rub, they will cost you money in damages. So either lift it or forget it, it is not worth it.

I agree save the money towards the lift. Or buy the tires and save them for after you have it lifted.

Buy the tires, save them till you get the lift. They'll rub pretty bad at stock height.

buy the tires now and wait till you put on new springs to install em. if you really need tires now and you don't do any wheeling in the next six month, you should be ok at stock height. just adjust your driving style.
