Will not go into gear
 

My Disco 1 is only sporadically going from park to drive. I popped the top off to see if I could fix this. I can get it to still only go sporadically. Do you think there is a wore out spacer or the cable is stretched out? any ideas I feel this is an easy fix, my repair manual however sux!!

brake switch.

look behind your brake peddle arm under the dash.

little black switch that releases the tranny when you press the brake.

cost is about $20-$25 bucks and takes less then a minute to replace.
