Window lift ECU

My rear windows have givin' up. They will not move anymore now and I have heard that it could be an issue with the Lift ECU behind the glove box. Could someone please tell me how to identify this unit. I see three control boxes back there and don't know which one it is.

It will be the one with the crack in the circuit board, solder the crack and all will be good again.

It should be labeled.

HEY THERE !
atlantic british sells a " window lift ecu repair kit" for about $17.00.......what you are paying for is the instructions though, as the only parts you get are a piece of wire and a couple of connectors, but it makes the windows work !
I did this to my '98 DI and it only took a few minutes........I should dig out the instructions and come back here with a summary....and then someone more 'puter savy than me could "sticky" it.
just another option if soldering doesnt appeal to ya.

ok, I found the ecu. I could hear it click when I used the front windows but not the rear and after trying to contort myself into many positions I gave up on trying to get the unit out as a whole and found out that the board will slide out of it making it realy easy.:D

The glove box door will swing down out of the way if you push up on the catches so that they pass throught these slots. There is one on each side of the box and must be done at the same time.
Attachment 48398
Once the catches go through the slot the door will be free to swing all the way down. (remove contents of glove box first)
Attachment 48399
The face plate that holds the board in snaps out by puting a small screw driver into the seem around the sides of it were it slides into the case as seen here.
