Windshield cowl filter idea
2004 Disco II-
Here's an idea for those of us with a crumbled or missing foam insert piece for your windshield cowl/air intake piece. I had a broken windshield cowl piece and finally located one from B&R Salvage for $60. But when it arrived it was missing the foam air filter insert that runs the length of the cowl. I went down to Home Depot and got a $10 electrostatic air filter, the kind that fits on your air exchange in your house. It is about ½ " thick, green on one side black on the other. Cut some 1" strips and inserted them in the new cowl piece, and have lots left over for next time I need to replace it. |

This is what I used for a friends Disco that was missing the filter. I bought it at Home Depot for $12 and cut it into strips. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/landrov...dfef93b02.jpeg
