Windshield Wipers
Hi Folks,
Does anyone know if there is a domestic model of windshield wiper out there or just the wiper rubber itself that I can staple, weld, or glue (grin) to the the $50 dollor Land Rover model wipers? Up here (Calgary) that's pretty much the average price! (grin) Yeeeek ! Cheers' Dave |
You have two options, order the windshield wipers through Atlantic British (they are the cheapest that I have found) or install wiper arms from a Discover I. The Discover I wiper arms use regular blades found at automotive parts stores.

I live in Canada too, definitely go with the DI wiper arms so you can buy real winter blades from Lordco or any other parts store, the LR wipers are absolute garbage in real winter conditions. One of the best upgrades I have made for my Disco!

Get the DI wiper arms and the Bosch Icon replacement arms. Also Menards Hardward stores carrires Peak Optix blades similar to the Bosch Icon style of a single piece spring. i have not used them myself, but they look good and reasonable for $9.99 each at Menards. I think they carry them at Sam's Club too. These are good option if you dont want to pay $45 for Bosch Icon's

I modified the factory front arm's on my 99 d2, I'm running regular anco teflon blade's and never swapped arms, the only thing I bought were blades 2 6mm bolts and two lock nuts. Took 10 minutes of my time and works excellent.
