Wish me luck...please

New addition to my small Rover family.

Picked up a 2004 SE with 140k for a couple grand.

The catch, of course, is that the HGs are (supposedly) blown. And, yes I know about the 4.6 cracking issues. Misfires on 5 and 7, white smoke, no coolant in oil. The p0305 is troubling, but fingers crossed!

Looks pretty low, saggy springs? Is the rear on air?

R.e. air: I dont think so? Seems to be just springs and normal shocks.

As for the sag, it would not surprise me if they are the originals.

Hopefully any confusion is already searchable, but its nice to have a place to turn in case of anomaly.

People have been stripping out the block threads putting in head gasket bolts - so be careful.
Maybe Victor Reinz gaskets.

Welcome to the club.

If you change the head gaskets in Denver - then you are in the Mile High Club.

Yah was looking at the reinz set on Amazon or maybe just bite the bullet and get Cometic.

R.e thread stripping - probably going with arp studs to prevent that.
